Why do so many politicians self-destruct? Why can they not resist any temptation? Sure, you may have been bullied as a kid for being the nerd that was into politics, but, hey, grow up.
After having an affair, then Congressman Mahoney struck upon the brainwave of allegedly employing said mistress in his office to the tune of $121,000 (spurred on by her threats to blackmail him). The FBi is having a peek into these allegations.
In a spurt of subsequent honesty, Tim then confessed to “multiple affairs” while in office.
Needless to say that Mahoney’s platform for election in 2006 included the inevitable pledge to be whiter-than-white, unlike his opponent, Mark Foley.
